Sourcing polyethylene foam from local companies

One man's trash is another man's treasure. Kasia from SiC Polska is sourcing ethafoam from a local company (a producer of electrical equipment) that used to throw these away in large amounts. Now they are donating their “waste” to the Center for Archaeology and Numismatics in Głogów (Poland) where it is put to good use as padding for fragile objects.

Sustainability in Conservation is an online network providing resources and information about environmentally responsible practices  in art conservation and related fields.
