Using second-hand dental tools

Another tip shared by SiC Polska: Chisels and dental spatulas can often come in handy in the conservation of painting on wood, patching canvas losses, or for the removal or shaping of plaster fills in objects. It's worth asking a friendly dentist if they have old tools to give away, as they have to be replaced regularly but can still serve conservation purposes for a long time.
