3rd International Conference in Green Conservation of Cultural Heritage

The International Conferences in Green Conservation of Cultural Heritage have been the main international forum for cross-disciplinary research on green conservation and cultural heritage aimed at more ecological and sustainable solutions. 

The 2019 Green Conservation Conference will be an opportunity to bring participants together from different areas, including professionals from all sectors of conservation and heritage management; cultural institutions; researchers and industry partners around a compelling and scientifically sound conference program for fruitful discussions on topics and case studies related to the conference themes.

ICOMOS Annual General Assembly - 4-8 December 2018 Buenos Aires, Argentina

The ICOMOS Annual General Assembly and Advisory Committee meetings (with all the associated parts) will take place in Buenos Aires, Argentina from 4 to 8 December 2018, on the generous invitation of ICOMOS Argentina.

The meetings will be accompanied by a one-day Scientific Symposium on the theme of“Sustainability: Cultural Heritage and Sustainable Development” organised by the Advisory Committee. The Symposium will take place on 7 December in La Plata (very close to Buenos Aires).

US/ICOMOS: "Forward Together: A Culture-Nature Journey" - 13-14 November 2018 San Francisco, California

This symposium offers an opportunity for knowledge sharing and assessment of lessons learned from national and international experience. Through exploration of different areas of heritage practice, the Symposium aims to identify actionable outcomes that will further integration of culture and nature for more effective conservation.

Icon: Sustainability in Collections Care - Wednesday 16 May 2018 Yorkshire, UK

With increasing pressures on budgets and a desire within the sector to become more sustainable, heritage institutions have to re-evaluate their practices and standards in relation to collections care activities. There will be a range of presentations on projects, policy reviews and case studies.
